I just made 3 videos on setting up native Blood to play online. Let me know what you think.

NATIVE ONLINE BLOOD - Windows XP ONLY!

PART 1: GET CONNECTED http://screencast.com/t/nJNjHRQqU21

1.1 http://www.hamachi.cc/

1.2 Install IPX. FrameType set.

1.3 Ensure Hamachi is only Network Adapter with IPX ticked & top priority.

1.4 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/158214

1.5 http://buildxp.deathmask.net/ for cli2nop (and noflb).
UPDATE: use -p (lowercase p) not -2!!!

1.6 Reboot.

PART 2: TEST http://screencast.com/t/3HkVF1b0ic

2.1 Confirm versions, & settings with others. Test with one other.

2.2 Do not ALT-TAB otherwise everyone get "out-of-syc".

PART 3: SOUND (OPTIONAL) http://screencast.com/t/7Rix5z6n

3.1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VDMSound

I do apologise. In the part 1 video I used cli2nop -2 but that doesn't work. Use cli2nop -p

(lowercase p)

That works.

NB: The only other problem is, version 1.11 doesn't work under XP SP2, only version 1.0. XP SP1a could run all Blood versions, and was actually the best XP version to run Blood, but I don't think anyone would go back to XP SP1a.

Blood 1.00, 1.11, 1.20, etc. runs best under Windows XP vanilla or SP1a. It doesn't run too well under SP2 or SP3 but it can still run. I doubt anyone will still be on SP1a. If you are on SP2 or SP3 then just give it a try. Try a vanilla installation of Blood, then copy the folder, and then install an update patch for Blood and try again on this new version. Report back on your findings.

I seem to be missing the files "nw16.exe" "vwipxspx.exe" "vwipxspx.dll" and its probably why when I run commit.exe I get a message saying "Unable to get adapter status. NetBios not usable"

Is there anywhere I can get the missing files? Or could you send them to me please? I would appreciate the help.

Strange how you didn't get them. This is Windows XP right? You can get them off the CD again.. it'll be called nw16.ex_ or something...
