Help with Duke

Yeah, I have just finished following the instructions for installing duke on xp. The game launches and i hear the music. But nothing appears on my screen, just a black screen with and occasional flicker of green and red. Can you guys help me? Pardon my noobness btw

Which type of program are you using to run this game?
A DOS Emulator? With the Deathmask instructions?
Use Jonof's port, it's a lot easier to operate:

very true. Much easier and no buggering around with lots of zips etc, just 2 self extractors and then import your Duke3d GRP files. Easy. Get it.
High-Res Update

Yeah, and you should also be sure to get the High-Resolution textures and 3D models if you want more eye candy.
