Blood and Win2k problems with sound..

Post by Svart » Tue Jun 07, 2005 12:36 am

I followed the instructions and have sound..sort of.. for about a minute then it crashes. the odd thing is that in the setup, there is no sound FX card option that works but if I choose soundblaster and hit escape and save I have sound.. but then it crashes..

any ideas?

You wont get sound at setup, but only when you run with VDM.This is normal.Have you tried changing your VDM shortcut settings? try every soundcard type etc.I think Win 2000 is different enough from XP to be giving you greif also.If running a Soundblaster be sure to patch Blood.Sorry thats all i can think of.Anyone else got any ideas? Oh yeah, update your sound drivers if old and experiment with sound card settings in Blood Setup.

thanks. still not getting it to work. none of the soundcards in setup will recognize. I've tried all the different settings but no go. it seems that the VDM logs show a problem with DMA.. too slow or something and it quits. will keep trying though..
