2 questions...

Post by Loke » Fri Dec 01, 2006 12:27 pm

Hi.

I've just gone through the guide and everything works absolutely flawless, although the sound is a bit rusty in Blood but otherwise it's fine. And strangely enough I can play Blood in 800x600.

Anyway, on to my questions.

Firstly, when I launch Blood, I get a strange fatal error. I'll quote what the error says.

"Unhandled exception encountered while loading"

Any idea what this mean? Even though I get the error, and after I click OK, the game still launches without any problem.

Secondly, is there a way to capture screenshots in Blood? Fraps doesn't like old DOS games and the Windows print screen button doesn't seem to work so well either.
I though maybe there's a program in which you can grab pictures in older games, like DOS or similar.

Thanks for any help.

Blood has it's own hotkey for screenshots. F10 maybe.

Yeah, I asked at another forum and they helped me out. Thanks anyway.

Still curious about the first question though.

No idea, could be anything. Hard to find out, since it doesn't give information from which module or program this message comes from. Or does it?

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling VDMSound?

Nope.

Can't say it bothers me though, the game still runs well despite the error. Although the sound effects (the music sounds good) isn't really that clear, it kinda stutters when any form of sound plays like gunshots, screams, explosions, sound from the environment even Caleb's voice.
