Just a heads up.. For those still having problems with Blood & other Build games like Redneck Rampage in XP/Vista, then you may want to try the new version of Dosbox.

0.70 evidently has much improved preformance for newer dos games, though you will still probably need a fairly powerful PC.
I've read on a couple of sites where people have gotten Blood running fine on dosbox 0.70

How about multiplayer? that's the important stuff, the one part that still doesnt work. Im having problems playing with more than 2 LANs, the game gets out of sync...

I havent used DosBox very much, only for a couple of other earlier dos games.

that last link looks like a modified version of Dosbox 0.66, but looks like its worth a try too. Perhaps those changes were added to 0.70 in some form.
