"Build on XP"
WOW! The tutorial on "Build on XP" @ http://www.deathmask.net/buildxp/ works great. I have tried it on Duke Nukem 3D Atomic and it works brilliantly. I also got it to work with Hexen by simply making a copy of the Duke VDMSound short cut and changing the path to point to Hexen. Works great!

Hexen and Duke in GL
Just a thought,you might wanna try the Doomsday Engine {supports Hexen} if you havent already 
Also Jono Fs Duke port will give better resolutions and sound
