Used to get only a black screen in Blood

i used to just get a black screen in Blood even after configuring everything perfectly according to all the VDMS posts. I tried everything short of reinstalling old graphics drivers because I thought that was my last resort. well good thing i didn't.

get dosbox CVS from that website. mount your game directory and play the damn game finally and pretty flawlessly. i haven't fully tried everything but others seem happy with it. don't be fooled like me and think it's only for netplay. it plays the game without too much fuss and even through just the setup.exe if you know what i mean (and after a lot of trouble, you'd better know what i mean. lol) no need to uninstall anything from VDMS. just forget about it and work dosbox cause i know playing the game is more important than worrying about VD.
