Duke3D - Fatal error

I have followed the instruction, and the game works just fine, but when i load the game this fatal error accures: "Unhandled exception encountered while loading" but when i press "ok" the game loads just fine and i can play..
But here's the problem, when i've played for a while, the screens sort of fades out, and when it nothing but a black screen nothing more happens, i can hear the game is running in the background?
Help?
