Anyone have tips for running Wanton Destruction.?

I am able to run SW with no problems on XP. I followed the step by step instructions given on this site. But when running Wanton the sound is screwed up and the framerate is really bad. I tried using the same shortcut provided for SW by changing the target to wanton.exe but no joy. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
