Perfect Performance In Blood

Post by Guest » Tue Sep 27, 2005 4:03 pm

I got it to work perfectly now. Sound, performance, everything. D:

http://www.abandonia.com/games/103/Blood.htm <--- Download this version of blood. It runs fine on WinXP without any tweaks. Slowdowns and sound stuttering exists.

After that, follow the usual guide http://www.deathmask.net/buildxp/.

Except one part. Choose 22khz at soundFX card.

http://forums.deathmask.net/viewtopic.php?t=43 <--- Last use this guy's guide. Skip the 'input part' of midi and all the ones saying "File [+] "Example: C:\programs\VDMSound" (or where it is installed on your pc)".

I'm running the game right now, played the first level with no sound problems. No performance problems etc. If this won't work for you, then I don't know what will. :)

Happy gaming

Do you know how to run Blood in higher resolutions without crashing it?

i´ve got the same problem everone else seems to experience with xp sp2. blood isn´t able anymore to read it´s demo files and archives. therefore it can´t be played... look into my other thread for more information.

just wanted to mention that this problem occures even with this download version. strange "guest" seems to have it running.

Guest including many others have got this to work and they all have SP2 including me. There might be something wrong with your setup.

no it isn´t... tested with 2 different pcs and 2 different original blood cds + shareware version and all the abandon warez downloads... for some reason blood isn´t able to read it´s own file formats. this is very strange... but i´m not the only one with this error.
