Duke 3d error

Post by trigga » Wed Aug 15, 2007 2:49 pm

I did what it said to in another post, run with VDM sound or w/e, and i did all the steps. Now it starts to run, it goes to the screen that says at the title [Inactive VDSM Launchpad-DUKE3D] Then in the window it says Thank you for buying and playing this game! HEY! Theres other cool stuff with the cd! etc, etc. But then it says Please insert Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition (I have atomic edition) CD into Drive... but i already have it in the drive and the computer detects it, but that wont. It sometimes also says press any key to continue, ad when i do, the does screen goes away :?: :?: :?:

Oops, problem was conflicting IRQ.

For the OP, I got the same problem you did. Instead of running the shortcut downloaded, I right clicked Duke3d.exe and clicked 'Run with VDMS', and it then worked OK. Sound is great too!

Hope this helps.
